Every year, tabletop roleplaying game (RPG) fans come together to celebrate and recognize the remarkable talent in the industry through the ENNIE Awards. It’s that time of year again, and it’s your chance to have a say in who gets the honor and recognition they deserve. The ENNIE Awards are unique because they’re a people’s choice award, where the gaming public selects the winners through online voting.
The ENNIE Awards originated in 2001 as an annual award ceremony organized by the premier D&D/d20 system fan site, EN World, along with Eric Noah’s Unofficial D&D 3rd Edition News. The torch was carried by Russ Morrissey until 2019. From being an Internet-based awards selection, the ENNIES has bloomed into a yearly gala at Gen Con. The ENNIEs have evolved beyond their d20 roots. They now applaud all achievements in the tabletop RPG sphere and the diverse range of publishers and products that back them.
The award categories cover every aspect that makes a game stand out, the types of products fans are passionate about, fan-driven websites, and more. The ENNIEs represent the ultimate opportunity for fans to express their gratitude to the creators, publishers, designers, and artists who make this hobby so rewarding.
